COMMUNITY SMOKE-FREE POLICY ADOPTIONS
Wyoming currently has FIVE comprehensive ordinances, which include workplaces, restaurants, bars, and private clubs: Laramie (2005), Cheyenne (2006), Evanston (2007), Burlington (2008) and Mountain View (adopted Feb. 2011; implementation June 2011).
See ordinance language under WY Smoke-free Policies Language at this link:
Other non-comprehensive ordinances with exemptions:
Green River (2007) & Rock Springs (2008): Smoking is permitted in private offices that are not open to the public in freestanding bars and private clubs; and in separately enclosed bar areas of restaurants.
Afton (2008): Smoking is permitted in private offices that are not open to the public, in freestanding bars; and in separately enclosed bar areas of restaurants.
Lyman (2011): Smoking is not allowed in any of the Town of Lyman's properties including the Town Park, the Fairgrounds and the Parade route. There is also an indoor smoking ban but if the business would like to allow smoking they have to post a sign that says they are a smoking establishment.
*Teton County adopted a Smokefree Air Rule in July 2009; however, it was overturned on the premise county boards of health [who are not voted in by the people] cannot adopt smokefree policies.
