According to the CDC, 1 in 12 teens attempts suicide a year. 
Suicide is the third leading cause of death for 15-24 year olds.

     high school-based suicide prevention         
     program targeting high-risk youth.
  • CAST (Coping And Support Training) is a high school-based suicide prevention program targeting youth 14 to 19 years old. Delivered in a small-group format (6-8 students per group).
  • Coping Cat:is an evidence-based cognitive behavioral treatment that assists school-age children (14-17).
  • Lifelines is a comprehensive, school-wide suicide prevention program for middle and high school students. 
  • S.O.S (Signs Of Suicide) is a 2-day secondary school-based intervention that includes screening and education. Students are screened for depression and suicide risk. Students also view a video that teaches them to recognize signs of depression and suicide in others.
  • Teen Screen identifies middle school- and high school-aged youth in need of mental health services due to risk for suicide and undetected mental illness.
